Tokyo Kawaii Life order 21 - Liz Lisa Ankle socks, pork pie hat and hair clip

My mom wanted to buy my brother's girlfriend something from Liz Lisa for her birthday, and it didn't make sense to ship one dress by itself, so I added some stuff for myself from the outlet :)

There was actually a bit of brown ...staining? on two or three of the flowers but I just cut those parts off. I'm not quite sure what repercussions that might have later, but I really didn't like seeing the stains and as much as I tried to scrub it (with water), it wouldn't come off. Regardless, these are pretty standard socks lol. I don't have any socks in colors other than white or black, and I just wanted something to add to my cart that didn't cost a lot but also didn't add a lot of weight, so I decided to go for lavender lol. I also don't have any other Liz Lisa socks so this is my first (and likely will be my only) pair lol.

Clearly I took this opportunity to just bust out all the lavender in my current wardrobe lol. I don't have very much, but I just realized that pretty much all the Ank Rouge I currently own is lavender in some way wtf. These socks can obviously go with other things, but I felt like I wanted to take it the matchy-matchy route for this post, and I quite like it. Tbh my hair could have been cooperating better but I didn't realize how flat it looked until after I was done taking all the photos and trying to edit FML. I really like how these look with these neutral colored pumps in particular, especially with the ankle strap. I also like that the socks are translucent (versus completely opaque) so that the color isn't so in-your-face-look-at-me-i-am-purple-socks but still a nice subtle "pop" of color. While I don't consider this a bad purchase, I don't see myself regularly spending this much for socks (since it's really the brand name that's pushing up the price), but they are cute, and I have no regrets especially because I already own many pairs of white/off white socks in this style, so it's nice to change it up.

Dot mesh ribbon pork pie hat in beige (141-9501-0)
ドットメッシュリボンポークパイハット
I was probably most excited about this. I used to LOVE hats as a child. My mom had all these old hand-me-down ones that I used to dress up in and also hats that she specifically bought for me (children's size). But I'm not really a hat person lately. However, when I saw that @himesarah on Dayre bought this hat in pink and liked it, I decided to go for it in beige (since pink was sold out)!

I'm wearing an old and worn out pair of Steve Madden sandals in all of the pictures as well. I wore these to death during my study abroad in Japan wtf. Also sorry about my obvious blue Spongebob bandaid, that I didn't realize stood out so much until it was too late. I tried on quite a few outfits with this hat lol. Admittedly, some work better than others, but since this is my first hat like this, I wasn't sure how it would look best, so I just wanted to try a lot lol. Some casual and some slightly more dressy. Although I kind of think that the hat makes a dressy outfit more casual and a casual outfit more dressy somehow. It might be just me lol. I probably need to think through a few of these outfits a bit more, but I look forward to it. It's a challenge for me but likely pretty easy for others lol. I also want to try my best not to look like I'm trying too hard to be a hipster which is think might be the hardest part lol.

Pearl flower barrette in pink (141-9216-0)
パールフラワーバレッタ
It's a bit smaller as a whole than I anticipated, but the pearl is quite large lol. It works as expected and I expect it will match (color-wise) with quite a few things I already own. It's simple in design but still cute.

No real coordinate pictures since it's so hard to see even at this distance lol. It definitely seems like it will be good to just pull my hair out of my face when I don't feel like using a bobby pin. The clip mechanism seems to work very well so far, but my hair is a bit thick so the size may be potentially limiting, but if I had gotten my hair thinned as I used to before, it would probably be great.

I really had no particular need for any of these items and truly I've probably passed over them time and time again since it's not like they're new stock, but I'm still happy to have them. I'm really trying to expand more into accessories (within reason), and the outlet is probably a good place to start. A few of these are a bit of a reach for me, but I'm glad I had the opportunity to try them.

As a small reminder (and I'm sure those of you who actually read my posts are tired of reading these blurbs, but I am constantly getting blamed for not warning people of this, so here I go again) - I am extremely uncomfortable with my personal photos being used for the profit of others especially without a simple source link. In general, I would prefer for my photos not to be reposted without my permission at all, but if you feel the extreme need to do so, I simply ask that you just include a simple link back to my original post. Regardless of whether I watermark every single photo, I do still own the copyright to these pictures and you finding them on Google Image does not mean I do not own them anymore?? (There has been some confusion on that front apparently. And to be clear, Google does even warn you when you click on a photo that the image may be subject to copyright, and Google does not sever the photos from their original pages, so it's easy to find their source if you choose.) I do not blog and post these photos so that others can sell their products that are not associated with me in the slightest. And the response I get when I just ask for my photos to be sourced really discourages me from sharing and continuing to blog. I mean this in the least aggressive way possible, but I'm not just going to throw 80 smiley emojis in this to "soften the tone" because I am serious, and I honestly feel like you should be able to read a paragraph like this without emoticons and not be offended by its message.
