I missed the deadline for May, but I think moving forward I may be doing these monthly instead of bimonthly/every two months based on the feedback from the survey! Please note that these posts will not include as many outfits (generally about half) because of the reduced time frame, but I believe that was actually preferred based on the requests! Let me know your thoughts.
I love how you use cardigans so often! I feel like it can make Liz Lisa more appropriate for situations like work where it might not be as accepted. I can't wear it for work anyway (I work in a daycare), but I want to invest in more cardigans so I can wear LL more often in different situations!!! :)
ReplyDeleteI think because bare shoulders were against my school dress code, I've been partial to cardigan for a while! Hope you can find several that you like!
DeleteTT_TT I've seen some stuff here that I have in my closet and I just want to wear it again because I miss it but I can't cause of winter. But I always like these posts lol. It's cool seeing it all together and in one post. Interested to see them monthly though :D
ReplyDeleteHaha if they are monthly they will just be shorter and more boring is all wtf.
DeleteAll these posts just make me add so much more Liz Lisa items to my wishlist lmao.
ReplyDeleteHaha glad I could help ;)
DeleteLovely lovely lovely >3>
ReplyDeleteI'm always surprised how much I love you in black (outfit 2 is so sleek and chic). I'd be shocked if LL ever did a season featuring black but I think I'd love it. I can't comment on every image (it'd be an essay!) but there's a couple I really love.
Outfit 7 - you pull off that dress so well! I'm also loving your hair in this one. With the bag and shoes there's this really fresh summer vibe
Outfit 9 - Clearly work appropriate, yet clearly fashionable. I think the bag+shoe combo is again fabulous. The drape of the skirt on that dress is great.
Outfit 12 - The cardigan makes this outfit for me. It's great!
Outfit 13 - tbh I thought that AR set up was a little too much together at first, but I really like how you outfitted it. It's plain yet put together.
Outfit 17 - I really like the peeking collar over cardigan look! Your hair is cute and I think the Coach purse is a nice touch.
Outfit 16/20 - Red is great, red is love, red is the color of life.
Also I'm loving those two bonus outfits at the end especially those jeans 10/10
Haha I think if Liz Lisa does black it will definitely be a little different than my usual black dresses. I feel like it won't be dissimilar to what Ank Rouge used to produce so we'll see.
DeleteHigh waisted styles look so good on you! so flattering! and I know I've already told you this on insta but that black dress is SO. GOOD.
ReplyDeletethank youuuuuuu <3
DeleteSooooo, I am late to this post because it somehow slipped past me before. And I was going to post a long comment listing my favourite outfits from this post and what exactly I liked about them. But it got deleted midway for some reason FML. Then I realized- I would have listed practically the entire post LOL. Because they're all coordinated well. 1, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 20, 21 are all absolutely gorgeous. So instead of trying to write that all out again, let me just quickly comment on one thing that really stood out for me in this post, and it's your lovely hair.
ReplyDeleteI noticed that the star of some of these outfits is actually your cute hairstyle! I really like how you look with different hairdos as can be seen clearly in 4, 7, 16 and 17 - the hair adds the cherry on top of the outfit for me here.
I was impressed you were brave enough to cut off so much of your beautiful hair but it actually looks extremely good in the fresh cut, especially curled and with a barrette like in most of these pictures.
Still, I wonder if I ever mentioned that even though you wrote before that you don't do elaborate hairstyles often (because of the weather versus hair structure situation and the time it takes to do all those sweet Larme-esque hair arranges I presume) every time you do wear your hair differently, it always looks really good to me. The hairstlyes in this post are not overly complicated, but they do require some time to be done and they all compliment the whole look very well. Your hair is much prettier than you usually seem to give it credit for, but that's my opinion and it's my perspective. Still, as someone with naturally unruly and frizzy hair that needs a lot of styling to actually look somwhat decent, I understand all too well if you don't always feel happy about your hair or can't be bothered to use heat and stuff on it - because same, haha.
I just wanted to let you know, that your effort is noticed and it looks GREAT to at least one reader - me ^^
Love, Choo
I don't do elaborate hairstyles for blog post coordinate photos specifically. I don't mind spending a little time and experimenting if I'm just doing a random ootd shot though. It's just that I personally don't want to commit to adding hours to my blog post photo shooting on the weekend. I have too many other competing priorities and it's honestly just not that important to me to change my hair for the 10-30 outfits per coordinate.
DeleteI like my natural hair a lot irl (which is what these OOTD shots are from) but I don't like it *compared to the wig* for purposefully curated blog post coordinate shots taken with the DSLR because of the difference in volume and the longevity/consistency of the curls over 2-4 hours of shooting.
Since I started using it for blog posts, I've definitely made an active choice not to heat style my hair during the rest of the week (if possible) but yeah, it's certainly taking a toll. I do it because it seems preferable and I don't agree, but it's just for a specific situation.
I understand completely! I just wanted to take this opportunity to compliment you on your pretty natural hair as well and tell you how cute I think it looks in a bun or in pigtails <3 It doesn't have to be styled purposefully for a post to be mentioned and admired, right? ;)
DeletePS: I personally never saw a problem with the wig you typically use, because your reasons for using it - especially for longer shooting sessions - have always been very relatable and understandable to me.
Hmmm. It's probably ... well, definately... a good thing not to use too much heat on one's hair in general, even though using a curler often adds that little bit of extra beauty to one's hairstyle, at least the open ones. But some cute updos can thankfully be done without much heat :) And you rock them!
One question though: how do you get your bangs to look this flawless? Do they stay like in these pictures? Mine turn into a mess as soon as I start sweating in summer heat or when the wind turns them into a frizzball :/
I didn't always do this but I now just curl them under a bit with a flat iron everyday lol. Most of these photos are taken after being in AC for 9-10 hours so it's not that bad. But I haven't been taking ootd pics lately because I've been doing more exercise at lunch at work and ofc my hair looks like shit after lol.
DeleteHey, thanks for replying! Seems like I need to bring a flat iron with me everywhere, because where I live and, more importantly, where I work, air conditioning is usually off or doesn't exist. Add public transport (with off or broken AC) in humid warm weather to this and wind and you get... hair catastrophe. Yeah, I think very few people have perfect hair after workouts, haha! I commend you for doing the lunch runs, I usually exercise (if I'm not too lazy) after work because there's no way I'd be comfy working out during lunch break and then continuing to sit on my desk without AC until evening xD
Deletethese fits are really really super cute!!!
