blanc Closet first order - Delyle Noir lace off shoulder top, DaTuRa pearl scalloped top, stripe rose skirt, side button shorts & soft touch rose bare OP

This is my first order from blanc Closet - the online retail venue for Delyle Noir and DaTuRa among a few other brands. The registration process was very simple and I had no issues signing up with my Tenso address and having the items sent to a forwarding service. The website is just as easy to use as any other average Japanese clothing website. I have browsed the website previously but have been able to resist ordering for a while. Now that I've broken the seal and had no major issues, I definitely would feel comfortable making more orders in the future!

Delyle Noir lace off shoulder top in white
パット付レースオフショルTシャツ
This top seemed so simple but also just slightly sexy in the stock photos. I really liked the lace sleeve/neckline detailing and the bright white color. I knew this would be a great piece to pair with a statement skirt without pulling too much attention from it. The sleeves can be worn on or off shoulder.

I love the soft feel of this material! The lace is nice and stretchy and just is really nice. There are cups sewn into the bust of the top which works well for me (small chest) and just helps provide a little extra opaqueness in that area. I don't believe they can be removed, but I like them anyway. The bottom hem is finished nicely so it could be feasibly worn untucked if desired. This top is a great fit for me and it follows my body line well.

Pearl scalloped top in off white
パールスカラップトップス
This is another simple looking top that I thought would be a great basic to wear with a printed skirt/bottom. There's some simple beading at the scalloped neckline and the color is close to ivory / off-white as described. There isn't anything extremely special about this, but I know my wardrobe can only benefit from having pieces like this as options.

Due to the design of the neckline, it's a little loose on me and I'd definitely say that this is an OK top for a bit larger bust. There isn't any shirring or elastic in the blouse but the material does have some stretch. It's great that this can work for oneegyaru style coordinates and himekaji or otona kawaii type coordinates as well! It's really versatile and I can see myself using it in a variety of situations.

DaTuRa stripe rose skirt in purple
ストライプローズスカート
(Skirt does not fit on my mannequin. Front and back look essentially the same.) I really wanted a fitted skirt from DaTuRa or Delyle Noir and I was happy to find this one still in stock in both pink and purple. I almost went for pink because...pink, but wanting to continue to expand my lavender wardrobe, I had to go with purple. The roses at the hem are essentially the same in either colorway but the stripes is what really differentiates them.

This skirt is a different material than I was expecting for some reason and it's a bit thicker and not as stretchy. Because of this, I have to be pretty careful when I'm trying to get this over my hips as there's no zipper to help and the waist can only stretch so much lol. And this definitely wouldn't fit on my mannequin so I didn't even bother trying. I would only suggest this for a size XS/S for both length and waist. The colors in the print are fantastic and reason enough for me to love this skirt.

DaTuRa side button shorts in pink
サイドボタンショートパンツ
(Shorts do not fit on my mannequin.) I had tried on a pair of white shorts from DaTuRa during my last trip but didn't buy them because I thought it was a little unnecessary. I saw what I think is the same pair in the webstore and remembered how well they fit and decided to get them anyway but in pink lol. In the past, I've had a really hard time finding high waisted shorts from western fashion brands that are snug enough on the waist but roomy enough in the thighs (f my weird body) and in a style that I liked so I kind of just gave up lol. These are a great alternative for me.

As expected, the fit in the waist is great and due to the style/cut of the shorts, my thighs aren't getting squeezed to death and my butt isn't being flattened into my body. The color irl is a very nice pink that isn't too offensively putrid or so innocuous that it could be beige. It doesn't exactly have pockets but the bijou buttons are just the right amount of detail. I really like the length and style of these but due the lightweight material, it does attract some wrinkles.

DaTuRa soft touch rose strapless OP in white
ソフトタッチローズベアワンピ
Threw this in the cart because I figured it couldn't hurt lol. The design isn't fussy and the pink and purple roses matched with the skirt so that was reason enough for me. Strapless tube dresses in this kind of simple cut can sometimes look like towels (after a shower) to me, but I wanted to try and stay away from that image by vamping up the accessories lmao. At least if it looks like a towel...hopefully it's after a classy AF bath.

The fit of this dress is really nice. It follows my body line without being too restricting or tight and the elastic at the top feels very secure. The length is actually perfect. I was expecting it to be shorter but I'm really glad it's not. I might even be able to wear this to work with the right cardigan! The flowers are nice and vibrant against the white and is easy to pair with colored shoes and accessories.

For a first order, I consider this quite a success! Although I was able to try on a few Delyle Noir and DaTuRa items during my last trip, I didn't buy quite as much as I would have liked. I'm both happy to have more confidence in ordering online and a bit worried of shopping too much now too. I've always been a fan of the florals from these two brands and I hope to get a few more pieces soon! ♡

    1. Ugh yeah I was so lucky to get it during a sale. I almost didn't because I have the beige riders jacket in such a similar style but the pink one is just really great too! Thank you <3

  3. Urgh, love everything. The tops are really nice but I quite like the lace one personally. It's simple but dressy enough - plus is they pair well with Liz Lisa bottoms :p
The shorts seem interesting. I have the same problem with shorts (never fit both bum and waist,). I like the towel dress actually, seems like something you can really style and dress up. (to make it look less like a towel, lmao,)

  4. I really like how you styled these items. <3 Each on their own seems nice but unspectacular at first, but the way you combined them really makes them shine.^^
I especially love the outfit with the shorts and riders jacket where you wear the hat and the one with the strapless dress (forever a towel now, lol) and the long cardigan, so cute!
