OOTD - October 2017

October was a busy month for me at work with many more OT hours than what's usually expected and getting home after dark. As a result, I didn't end up taking as many outfit pictures, especially because I did an entire week of field work. I do want to share what I do have which is a surprising amount for me considering how many days I skipped, but I guess diligence towards this effort at the beginning of the month is very worthwhile.

Not a lot of innovation or creativity here, but at the end of October looking back, I was glad to have anything to be posted at all after what felt like the longest work week in my current career field. (I certainly do not doubt that many of you work longer hours every single day/week/month compared to me and still manage to keep up with social media and your personal life wonderfully. For me, I think I'm just not that kind of person, and I actually don't mind that about myself but I just wanted to explain the shortage of content.) Even November is already starting out a bit rough with my current schedule, but I hope to be able to finish the year strong both here and at work.

  2. Cute nails/10
    You are so diligent with your OOTDs. I wish I brought a mirror with me to college, now I can't check my outfits at all in the morning :,(
    Now for comments on favorite outfits as usual;

    Outfit 3: The combination of the dress and cardigan create a really relaxed silhouette and feeling. I like it! The colorscheme and fit create an 'effortlessly cute' look.
    Outfit 4: I like this, but it also feels a little off. I think a more cream blouse or a less red (shocking from me) would fit it better. It might just be the coloring on my monitor.
    Outfit 9: Really love that combo of your cardigan+gold belt. Tied for my favorite outfit from this post. I recently bought a floral lace jacket from Egoist because I liked your styling of this cardigan. Ideas!
    Outfit 12: I don't know why, but I find this look really sweet. I think it's the big cardigan sleeves.
    Outfit 17: my other favorite post. I'm loving your hair. The jacket+hair make the look for me. It's all very cohesive without being too basic or trying too hard. I really like it!

  4. Hi, Emiichan, I really liked your style and all of the Liz Lisa designs, recently I’ve been buying and collecting Liz Lisa myself, but there’s just one concern, I’m 5”6 (168cm) tall, and I’ve noticed nearly all of the Liz Lisa shoes were like 8cm~10cm in heel height, I don’t think I can wear such high heeled shoes, but I don’t really know if wearing flat pump will look good with Liz Lisa dresses, can you give me some advise please? Thank you! <3

    1. There is more than one way to wear/style these clothes! You should certainly wear what you're comfortable and confident in. I don't personally own or wear flats, but I did do a past blog post on wearing flat shoes/sneakers with Liz Lisa items that might interest you - https://emiiichan.blogspot.com/2015/10/emiiis-guide-liz-lisahimekaji.html

  5. Super cute outfits. The constellation Op is still a firm favorite for me. Also... YAY for outerwear/cardigan wear. Guess it's not so hot recently so you can get away with it, right?

    1. Lol I typically wear cardigans in the office and keep them with me "just in case" but yeah, still not wearing them much outdoors lol.
