Liz Lisa x My Melody 10th collab vol 2 OP & My Melody stuffed iPhone case

The 10th Liz Lisa x My Melody collaboration had 2 parts. One that released at the end of October and a second that released in mid November.

The vol 2 release included a "cache coeur" style OP (available in white, pink and an all pink limited color), the matching My Melody stuffed charm and a stuffed My Melody iPhone case that seemed to be similar to the pouchette but specifically had an iPhone 6 case function.

I had a lot better luck with the volume 2 release on TKL than I did with the vol 1 preorder!
Even though I really, really, really didn't need anything from vol 2, especially after already getting the 10th collab vol 1 dress in pink, I decided to just give it a try online. I told myself I would make a purchase if I was able to get the limited color and just forgo getting anything if I couldn't. As it turns out, it wasn't terribly difficult this time compared to the last, and I was able to get the dress in my cart without much issue. The actual listing release was about 5 minutes after the approximate time that was provided, so I thought a lot more people would be online for it, but thankfully, that didn't seem to make a huge difference since I was constantly refreshing. There was a server issue that almost brought my purchase to a halt, but I was able to get through after trying a few more tries.

The vol 2 "cache coeur" dress came in three colors, but I was determined to get the limited all pink color, especially since Ebony had seen it in person and had really recommended it! The difference between the regular pink and the all pink is mostly between the white vs pink color of the collar and inner lace tiers. I think that even if the all pink didn't have the special "limited color" label (and instead was just an average option), I still would have tried to get it vice the pink or white just because I like that the tiers are a little more subtle in this version. The print is even (not cascading)throughout the dress and includes bunches of flowers and features My Melody herself wearing the dress as well. There's a side zipper and ribbon tie with elastic in the back waistline of the dress.

The fit of this OP is very similar to the vol 1 version and is a similar material aside from the lace details. I think the front design does make the dress seem a little shorter for some reason, but in actuality, it's about average. The irl pink color is classic feeling and cute without being overbearing and I think when paired with the right outer/layering piece (esp full length coats), this can certainly be a bit more subtle but stands well on its own as well.

I passed on getting the My Melody pouchette in the past and it's been very popular, but just not something I thought I could use so I managed to convince myself against purchasing it. This stuffed phone case however...is aesthetically very similar to the pouchette but is an iPhone case which can actually be useful to me, so that was reason enough! Since I was already making a purchase with the dress, I decided to just throw this guy in too. It comes with a removable long gold chain and there's even a small little zipper pouch at the top.
This goofy goober. I feel like the large chocolate brown eyes are a little wacky looking and the fuzzy stole looks a bit like a beard when I see it out of the corner of my eye + she's pretty much naked besides that (in comparison to the pouchette where she's wearing a dress), but I also think it's hilarious so I'm happy with it. Certainly not a practical phone case in any way, but it's cool that it comes with a white plastic hard case that's stuck to the inside + there's a bottom cut out for your earphone jack + lightning port and even a cut out on the inside of the pouch for your camera! I've been wanting to try out an iphone case that has a lanyard type strap and I actually kind of like it. This really isn't practical at all for everyday use and it's a bit hard to use the front or back camera without taking the phone out of the opening but...it's cute?

I spent a bit more than I really should have on a winter My Melody collab but I think this might be the last one (with Risato!), so I'm glad I decided to just go for it. The iphone case matches really nicely with the MM collab items but also can just generally be used as a ridiculous accessory if I wanted to because of the chain. I don't have any regrets about getting up in the middle of the night and fighting the servers to get the items and even though I really don't know what I will do with these things in Hawaii, I'm happy to have them.

    1. Initially, I wasn't sure how I felt about the lace tiers, but it's not as fussy as I thought it would be!

  2. The vol 2 dress is so pretty. The petticoat was a good buy lol, it shows off the little details on the dress nicely.
