Liz Lisa Floral jumpsuit Winter 2013

I saw that Rebby was looking to sell her jumpsuit from her Liz Lisa 2015 web-limited fukubukuro, so I offered her a trade for an OP of mine. I was really hoping to get this jumpsuit in my fuku when I learned what the contents would be like because I really wanted to try it on (without having to specifically purchase it), but that was not my luck lol. In any case, I was still able to get my hands on it and sent an under-utilized OP to a new loving home thanks to Rebby, so here it is!

Sorry, try as I might, I could not get it to fit on my mannequin without threatening to rip it :X
[Edit: found the stock photos and the actual name of the jumpsuit from TKL!]

I also went back in a few of the blog archives to look for a few ideas of how shop staff styled it (sometimes in an alternate color). Click the photo for the source post -

The jumpsuit is a winter item so it was mostly styled with long sleeves and other outerwear (which I don't usually heavily invest in or prefer to wear myself), but I think I was still able to get a pretty good idea of what the jumpsuit should ideally look like since I've never owned one before.

My attempts at coordinating it:
with Liz Lisa lace panel blouse and Liz Lisa heart suede pumps -
^^ how much room there is in the hip area & how it looks when I'm not trying to be super posey ^^
I thought the shoes matched a little bit better in person, but in pictures it actually contrasts a lot lol. I think you can see how puffy the hips area is in the bottom right photo.

with Liz Lisa x My Melody 6th collab vol. 2 blouse & Flag J pumps (+ Liz Lisa dot mesh ribbon pork pie hat) -
The half sleeve length of this blouse is actually working for me here! I'm starting to understand it a little more lol. I don't really have anything long sleeved to go with this, so this blouse is about as close as it gets.

with Liz Lisa lace sleeveless top and Liz Lisa 2-strap ribbon pumps -
Not sure if I actually like this coordinate but I also wanted to try out the jumpsuit with a top with less of a sleeve. Tbh I also tried it with my other sleeveless lace top (with no shoulder ruffle) and it looked...kind of weird imo lol.

I pulled up the hem of the pants because I just couldn't stand the length of this on me without doing that lol. It was really like in the middle between being full length and being an appropriate capri length. I don't prefer capri length in general anymore, but having it hit mid calf was somewhat unacceptable in my mind for some reason, therefore the scrunching by the knee.

I have to say that the fit in the hip/butt area leaves something to be desired (#diaperbutt anyone?), and it's way too big on me in this area, but if have a bit more in your hips, this kind of OP might actually fit you pretty well lol. It would also do for me to be about an inch or two shorter since I think my body is about at the max proportions for this kind of jumpsuit without the crotch getting dangerous lol. As it stands, it already kind of fills in the hip/butt area a bit odd/not how I was anticipating. The waist actually fits okay though! And there is no zipper on this thing, so the ribbon tie is a must for me.

This may not be the most flattering OP I've ever owned (especially from the rear), but I wanted to share a few photos/coordinates with you anyway because I don't see a lot of "real people" buying these kinds of items and actually showing "review" photos? (Although maybe I'm not looking in the right places, so sorry if there are a lot that exist lol.) Anyway, this isn't a super exciting post, but hopefully you gained a bit of insight about these all-in-one OPs/jumpsuits if you were interested!

As a small reminder (and I'm sure those of you who actually read my posts are tired of reading these blurbs, but I am constantly getting blamed for not warning people of this, so here I go again) - I am extremely uncomfortable with my personal photos being used for the profit of others especially without a simple source link. In general, I would prefer for my photos not to be reposted without my permission at all, but if you feel the extreme need to do so, I simply ask that you just include a simple link back to my original post. Regardless of whether I watermark every single photo, I do still own the copyright to these pictures and you finding them on Google Image does not mean I do not own them anymore?? (There has been some confusion on that front apparently. And to be clear, Google does even warn you when you click on a photo that the image may be subject to copyright, and Google does not sever the photos from their original pages, so it's easy to find their source if you choose.) I do not blog and post these photos so that others can sell their products that are not associated with me in the slightest. And the response I get when I just ask for my photos to be sourced really discourages me from sharing and continuing to blog. I mean this in the least aggressive way possible, but I'm not just going to throw 80 smiley emojis in this to "soften the tone" because I am serious, and I honestly feel like you should be able to read a paragraph like this without emoticons and not be offended by its message.

  2. I love seeing these less common (can I call them that) on people because they're more... risque I guess? I actually quite like this on you tbh!

  3. Nice post! Thanks for the review, you're right that it's getting hard to get good reviews of items, especially of clothing like this. The last coordinate with ruffle sleeve and your ponytail with the bow is quite cute!

  4. I think you styled these really well! I've been super hesitant buying these kinds of things since I'm so short. I really like the last coord you made even if you did think it looked a bit odd!

    1. I think these might actually be a decent length on you actually! Well...depending on how exactly you want to wear the length? But yeah you're a good height for free size items imo!

  5. This is so cute!!
My cropped high-waist pants from Liz Lisa do the same sort of saggy thing in the butt/hips and it drives me crazy @A@; I find myself pulling them higher through the day so it doesn't look stupid lol.
