OOTD - December 2022

It really felt like there was a transition right at the start of the month where the temperature solidly dropped into the 50sF consistently! A coat or thicker jacket went from being a style choice to becoming an essential. And the sun was rising so late in the morning (compared to when we leave for work) that I've had to try a few different environments/alternatives - none of which I'm convinced work well lol.

Outfit 6 (for walking to dinner and testing my artificial light possible solution lol) - EATME double belt boa coat, EATME reversible bucket hat
I've been wearing this simple combination a lot lately for casually going out - long coat from EATME + long sleeves, jeans and sneakers + bucket hat to keep my head warm. It's not particularly stylish but it's easy to wear and good for quick outings

Outfit 7 (for work) - EATME garter feather knit top, Mercury Duo compact faux leather riders jacket, EATME (pleats wrap) skirt, EATME lace up short boots and Michael Kors manhattan purse

Outfit 15 (for work) - EATME bow tie knit top, Mercury Duo compact faux leather riders jacket, Michael Kors chunky knit scarf, EATME side pleats belted skirt, EATME belted loafers, Michael Kors manhattan purse

Outfit 16 (for work - last work day of 2022!) - EATME vest bustier OP, EATME fukubukuro coat, EATME side goa garter long boots, Michael Kors star-embellished hamilton purse

Outfits from Iwakuni trip - EATME reversible bucket hat, EATME double belt boa coat, EATME garter side goa long boots and Michael Kors manhattan purse were the constants every day. I also brought 2 dresses for the plane rides but jeans for the field work days.

I'm still learning a lot about layering (for example, finally figuring out that you can layer cardigan and thicker knits under coats/jackets wtf lol) and the best way to style some of the coats I have, but it's been fun despite the cold. Choice of footwear and covering my legs with a layer (even tights) is making a huge difference too. I know there's still a couple months of this, so I have a few more outer pieces I'm eyeing that I hope will make it to a good winter sale to add a little more variety into my wardrobe so I'm not constantly wearing the same 3 or 4 :)
