I'm still getting used to dressing for the office when the inside temperature can be a little variable, but overall, I've been having fun wearing my outer pieces. I don't have a ton of variety for coats or warmer jackets, but I do like how versatile my current pieces are! It's definitely warming up, so I think I will be shifting to a lot more cardigans in May (and is closer to how I would dress in HI, especially for work). I was happy to have so many outfits to feature for this month and I hope I can keep it up!
Let me know if you have any favorites :)
I know you were hesitant about having to dress more accordingly to Japanese standards but I'm loving this winter era!!
ReplyDeleteColder months are not as bad because I'm not tempted to go sleeveless as much (haha)! Being forced to wear "real" footwear also makes the outfit look much more put together in general, even when casual so I'm glad that comes through as well since that's the intention.
DeleteWish me good luck in the summer :)
Did you have that industrial piercing this entire time? 😮 I’m just noticing it. My fave item in this post is the pink sweater with the heart embroidery.
ReplyDeleteYes! I've had it since 2009 but it usually hides under my hair haha.
DeleteThe short cream jacket is similar to one that I have and seeing how it works with these full skirt dresses has given me inspiration for my own wardrobe. Also I love how smart you look for work especially. I live in an area where everyone dresses casual for everything and I get unwanted attention for dressing smart. It's a difficult balance between being myself and blending in.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I had a lot of fun trying to style something like that for the first time. This is definitely also an area where people dress more casually (and I came from a similar environment before) so I understand the struggle. The desire to wear the clothes I like usually overpowers my insecurities about standing out lol.
DeleteAll of the outfits you styled and were wearing in the photographs above look fabulous!
ReplyDeleteI love the appearances of all 26 of them! If I had to pick just one, it would probably be either Outfit 19 featuring the Liz Lisa heart wish jumper-skirt or Outfit 22 featuring the Liz Lisa monochrome flower skirt! You have wonderful taste in fashion!
