Japan trip Summer 2014 - Part 2b: Liz Lisa coordinates cont.

Please check out my previous blog post [Japan trip Summer 2014 - Part 2: Liz Lisa shopping/items] for links and other info about the items worn in this post :)

Coordinates for the remainder of my new Liz Lisa items! [First set of coordinates here.] It will be awhile before I get to wear all of these, but it was so great to just put them on for these photos, lol. I can't wait until I can wear each piece out!

109 limited set
Ugh I think this set just really doesn't photograph well with the sheer top. I swear to you it seems really lovely in person! But the best part of this set is definitely the OP. Cute lace panel near the hem and a corset lace up detail on the chest + lace detailing. Straps are adjustable between two lengths and there's a ribbon tie back. There's even a side zipper! A lot of great features for this dress, and it can definitely be easily worn by itself without the top. The top can be coordinated with other things besides the dress as well, so this was a pretty good deal, I think.

Sweets pattern OP
I feel like this dress is not *extremely* flattering (empire waist), but it's just so sweet - not to mention that there are sweets printed on the dress as the name implies. I love a lot of Liz Lisa pattern prints, and this one is no exception. I really thought about getting this in pink, but in the end, I'm glad I chose white because I think the print stands out better. Since I'm not super chesty, I don't have to worry about the bow adding unnecessary bulk lol.

+ matching Sweets clutch bag novelty item
I'm not sure if I would actually use the bag at the same time as the dress because it's a little too matchy-matchy lol, but there is a subtle difference in color between the pouch fabric and the OP. I think the OP might have a bit more yellow tone to it?

Check open back OP
I love the lightness of the fabric for this dress. And who doesn't love an open back? Okay well tbh, I like open backs, but I hate not being able to wear a standard bra with it wtf. The ribbon tie back actually adds a little extra coverage - there isn't any material behind where you tie it besides the straps although I'm not sure why you wouldn't tie it there unless maybe you tied it in the front (??). I'm glad I decided to go with pink instead of the white option which is a different, heavier, eyelet material I think? This one will be good for the weather here :)

Lace collar gingham OP
I absolutely adore this dress. It's super cute, but not so over the top that I feel like I couldn't just wear it casually almost anywhere because the length makes it pretty versatile. I love practically anything with a ribbon tie back because I need my waist to show, and this one is actually a little different than most with the wider fabric at the sides converging to a skinner width for the part where you would actually create the bow. It hits at a great point on my body too. + Super love the straps and the simple lace collar that add just a little extra to keep it from just being a simple gingham dress.

Ribbon pattern romper
Oops! I should have put this one with the previous coordinate post because I'm wearing the floral heel wedges :O...but it kind of also belongs here with all the pink clothes! Haha. Super love the bows on the back of the romper. It looks a lot better when the top bow is tied tighter, but I was home alone at the time I was trying to get these photos done so that was the best I could do on my own :| I wish the length was maybe 1.5 inches longer (maybe if I was 1.5 inches shorter! lol), and still extremely sad I didn't get this dress in the white color option, but the pink is starting to grow on me...

トリコット set up
This set up...I think that without heels, there's just too much volume and fabric for my lower half, and I look pretty round and stubby. But with heels, my body is elongated just a bit, and I don't feel so disproportionate! Truly though, I think there is a bit of bulk with both the top and the skirt together. I think later I'll try to see what else I can wear this top with! Most of my shorts are so short that they probably won't be able to be seen lol :X. The sukapan can be worn with basically any white basic top so I know I won't have to worry about its versality. For something that I wasn't really sure about and didn't try on in store, I'm quite happy with it.

Organdy puff cardigan
As I mentioned in my previous post, even though this short sleeve cardigan isn't something I'd usually buy or thought I needed, it was extremely useful during the trip! I see it also being very useful at home when I just need a simple cover up for modesty but don't need sleeves for warmth, like at work where they seem to have literally set the AC at 80°F during the hottest and most humid part of the year :|

Seashell wicker shoulder bag
Ahhhh, this bag :) I think just adding it to an outfit makes it seem more magical. Okay, slight exaggeration lol. But I really do like it. I'm not sure how much I'll use it (I'm not a frequent user of smaller bags), but even if I don't, I just love looking at it on my shelf as decoration! The chain can easily be tucked into the body of the bag so it just seems like a wicker seashell.

Lace up back flower wedge sandals
Featured with all outfits in this post except the ribbon romper (-__- wtf poor planning sorry). My feet thanked me so hard for buying these shoes, and they're already so worn from just that week. The heel height is lower than many of my other LL shoes (except my other white summer shoes from my first order coincidentally), so these might be a good option for you if you find the usual height a bit uncomfortable.

    1. Lol no, I recently went on a trip and purposefully wanted to shop at Liz Lisa. There are so many more things in each store than just these few things. Empire waistlines aren't for everyone, but I really like this one!

    2. hehe it's nice to in a way, everything in your wardrobe would match!

i think the bigger problem is that the bow would be too obnoxious on my already-too-big-for-liz-lisa chest ;-; /cry the print is just so darn gorgeous! Then again, I could have gotten the salopette or skirt or something instead... regret not buying it now :(((

    3. Hahah I think my chest needs the extra oomph tbh. You can still get the skirt! http://www.tokyokawaiilife.jp/shop/liz-lisa/%E3%82%B5%E3%82%B9%E3%81%A4%E3%81%8D%E3%82%B9%E3%82%A6%E3%82%A3%E3%83%BC%E3%83%84%E6%9F%84%E3%82%B9%E3%82%AB%E3%83%BC%E3%83%88/item/view/shop_product_id/25241

  3. Everything looks lovely on you! I love the back of the lace collar gingham op. It is really cute!
I really really wanted to buy the sweets pattern op but I didn't purchase it because it wouldn't look good on me, and my aunt said the dress will look like pajamas on me...haha .-.

    1. When I was looking at it just online, I wasn't sold on it, but the shop staff at 109 looked really really cute in it, so I couldn't resist it as an impulse buy! It isn't the most flattering silhouette (when is an empire waist especially flattering??), but still really sweet imo. I definitely see how it could look like pajamas but it probably has to do with how you style it!

  4. I think the sweets OP looks flattering on you! It's mad adorable and I was thinking of getting it myself, but the empire waist makes me feel a bit reluctant to buy and the fact that the summer seems too cool for it. I'm super excited for A/W 2014!

  5. Weee! Everything is so cute!! I'm surprised by the sweets OP actually, didn't like it online (but I love the print!) but looks great on you. The 109 set is so wonderful! Also love the bag but that's not a surprise.

    1. It's odd how some items can be completely different depending on how they're presented! Or how things that I didn't like or was lukewarm about grow on me the more I see them lol.
