I'm happy to find it now and I think it's silly to think of it as "childish" just because of the color palate/prints. Thanks for reading and commenting! I always love cute style since I was teens, but couldn't find something like Liz Lisa in my country. Now I am 24 and many people think I am already too old for Lolita style, maybe because it's really rare to see people in my country who wear this kind of style (in my country you can even find a 12 years old girl who wear something that makes her look like 20). But after I read this post I think I should not hear what others think.. Yeah, I'll keep wear Liz Lisa until I don't like it anymore (I am not even sure if that will happen). Lol Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08766903560302205077noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5341701356324537860.post-24585354476904229412015-12-02T13:48:02.591-10:002015-12-02T13:48:02.591-10:00I usually tried to make LL more casual for school ...I usually tried to make LL more casual for school but maybe if I had then what I had now, it would have been different! Although I'm super hesitant to wear LL to school sometimes, it really does boil down to how I feel in the clothes and if I really do care about temporary people mocking me. I do love the more cutesy stuff LL releases like jumper skirts and stuff, but I also really like the more mature pieces LL is releasing. It's a bummer that JE is closing down because I've been meaning to pick up a few pieces.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02277059673061868145noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5341701356324537860.post-7543150100906140852015-11-25T13:45:08.498-10:002015-11-25T13:45:08.498-10:00Love this post, Emii. And if you think this is 'too young for my age', who perceive them as such? Yourself? Other people? But do you really let that bother you?<br />If the answer is; 'yes, I'm bothered with people thinking I'm immature for wearing something like this', then you get your answer already. But if your answer is; 'No, it doesn't really bother me, I love wearing this', then it's the same, you already have the answer.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03381993881685534916noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5341701356324537860.post-9877013625054290252015-11-25T00:56:10.867-10:002015-11-25T00:56:10.867-10:00I love this post! I'm glad that despite the trouble you had with it, you still managed to post it. Your insights into the fashion and your personal take on it are really interesting. I mainly only buy Liz Lisa accessories, but I wear brands which can be seen as similarly young and cute (mostly axes femme and lolita brands), and as I'm about to turn 25 it's something I've been thinking about too. Luckily for me, my mother has been a constant inspiration to wear what makes you happy, so I'm going to continue wearing what I like, how I like. ^^OrigamiKiwihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09773763771419062361noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5341701356324537860.post-31492809394445838962015-11-24T15:25:16.310-10:002015-11-24T15:25:16.310-10:00Love this post! But thinking back, I definitely would not wear it now because I feel like I've grown past that kind of style. I feel like what you wear tells a little about yourself and tbh, I don't match the princessy cutesy look anymore. But I'm happy to see LL evolve along with the customers. Really loving the otona/mature feminine trend. Standards of fashion is also different in the west, so I try to wear as much LL I can when I'm travelling in Asia. For some reason, extreme fashion is more acceptable/common in Asia whereas extreme makeup is more acceptable/common in the West. I love how you showed two different shopstaff that wears LL differently. Its interesting to see different vibes coming from the same brand. Anyway, keep wearing what you love! I really like how you can make LL into daily outfits <3 You suit the brand a lot ^^Catherine ❤https://www.blogger.com/profile/14074065790718029518noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5341701356324537860.post-31103606573989260972015-11-24T09:53:48.491-10:002015-11-24T09:53:48.491-10:00Go girl! I think what some people might forget is that the brand is unique in a good way and there are hardly anyone wearing the brand (especially outside of Japan) in general so that can't be helped! At that point I was also pregnant, so I couldn't wear anything. After having my daughter, I started to buy more pieces. But, living in a coastal town where everyone dresses either as if they didn't give a crap about what other people thought OR like a hippy, I always feel rather self conscious compared to when I was in Japan. 2 years later and my Liz Lisa wardrobe has expanded, although not as much as yours Emi lol. And since starting studies I have been wearing Liz Lisa to school, and I have stopped caring what everyone else thinks. Sure, there is no one in my class, school or even town who wears the clothes I do, and sure I am a mother of a soon to be two year old, but I like Liz Lisa, and I'm going to keep wearing it until I stop liking it! :) I have found though, that I don't gravitate towards their more extreme 'hime' clothing anymore, I go for things that I can dress up or down, or the more basic items. But I do love me a good sukapan!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14347151869247474358noreply@blogger.com
