Since it's my birthday, and I've really felt the love from you guys recently, I wanted to do a super small giveaway for just blog readers!
If you follow me on my other social media accounts, ofc I definitely appreciate that as well, but over the last couple of years, my focus has turned completely to this blog, with many of my other accounts basically just serving to support this. I wanted to do something casual for people who basically just come and visit the blog without needing extra prompting from every single other angle.
By "BLOG ONLY!", I basically mean that I won't be "advertising" the giveaway on any other platform to try and send traffic this way. If you come to read my blog and are interested in entering, you are eligible. Basically, you're at an advantage if you organically consume the content on this blog.

Since I don't think it's going to be a big hullabulloo since it's just two small items, please just leave me a comment on this post ONLY (yes this one you are reading right now) to let me know you want to enter by October 10, 2017 at 14:00 HST. The comment doesn't have to say anything special, but it would be nice if you left me some feedback or a question or anything to interact with you! Please only one comment per person.  
If you don't have a Google Accounts profile (or don't want to use yours), you can use the Anonymous or Name/URL function, but regardless, please leave a way for me to contact you in the comment. It can be an email address, IG username, Tumblog, Dayre, Twitter account, Facebook url, whatever - as long as I don't have to create an account just to message you. BUT please double check your settings so that you'll be able to accept messages or comments from me.

CHOOSING THE WINNER:
Once the deadline (10/10/2017, 14:00) has passed, I will print out the comments I receive and then cut them apart (such that one comment = one strip of paper) and pick one out of a hat/bowl/whatever.
If I do not have a way to contact the winner based on the comment or the winner does not reply within 24 hours of my message, I will pick again until there is a valid comment with contact info and response!
I will be shipping the prize at my own expense using the shipping method of my own choosing. If the winner wants to request a specific shipping method, I will ask that they cover any additional expenses beyond what I was willing to cover myself. Winner should request the shipping method when providing mailing address.

Thank you all for your support over the years! Blogging and sharing my purchases, trips and outfits has been a big part of this portion of my life, and I don't regret most of it. As I continue to organize and (re)prioritize based on my current situation, I know I will always have this to look back on and reminisce.

Tokyo Kawaii Life order 57 - Liz Lisa ribbon ankle boots, smocking embroidery off shoulder top, 17th anniversary cameo big ribbon barrette

To be honest, I was feeling a bit lackluster about buying Liz Lisa and shopping in general lately, but there's nothing like an iconic ankle boot to bring me back around and convince me to make an order. To help round it out, I added a couple older items that I was interested in but also wouldn't add much weight to the package!

These ankle length boots have a chunky heel and rounded point toe. There is an eyelet design throughout the boot and they are laced up with a thick ribbon.
I was so excited to see that Liz Lisa was doing another short length/ankle boot in this style! I have the 2011 version in beige, but I've always been interested in getting them in another color. I didn't partake last year because of the fur trim, but these are much more neutral and I was really excited about it. Between the red, pink and beige color choices, pink made the most sense based on what I already own, and I liked that the color wasn't too obnoxious.

The boots fit well and are basically just as I expected! I do wish they ended maybe a couple inches shorter on my leg, but other than that, they're really great. I really like the light pink color that seems really neutral while still really cute irl. The ribbons as the laces are a nice touch as well (as long as they don't get dirty!).

Comparison with 2013 Liz Lisa ankle boots in beige

They are very similar in design but it's easy to see that the 2013 version has a higher front platform and a higher heel. The 2017 version is a bit longer/extends a little higher up the leg despite the lower heel.

This is a 2 layer top with multiple ruffles and lace and shirring at the neckline. Sleeves have elastic and there is a bow on each side of the collar.
Saki and Amby both love this top, and I really liked how it looked paired with the belted jumperskirt (which I haven't purchased yet lol), so I threw this in my cart so I would have something else small in there besides the boots. I picked pink because I thought it would match better with my current wardrobe than the brown. Honestly, it was just how much Saki endorsed it that was enough for me to get it, haha.

The top is really lightweight and a little shorter in length than I had initially anticipated. It's not a cropped length but I definitely need to make sure the skirts I wear with it are actually well fitted to my waist or the top will become untucked easily. The "スモッキング" (shirring) part of the neckline actually has some pretty good stretch and makes it feel really secure for wearing it off the shoulder.

This is a long, thin 3-layer ribbon with a thin french style barrette on the back. There is a small cameo rose in the center.
I was looking for something small to round out my order, and this seemed like a really good option as I'm trying to introduce more hair accessories to my wardrobe. The ivory color is incredibly neutral and the cameo detail doesn't stand out very much but is a nice little detail. When this barrette was first released, I thought it was way too huge, but I absolutely love it as a hair clip at the back, middle of my head, especially with the layers of the ribbon.

It definitely works best at the back of my head, but it can be placed on the side if you consider the length of it properly. I think it would also look good with a bun updo as well. I've already used this barrette more than a few times because it just matches with so much and I almost always have my hair half-up half down. This might actually be the most useful purchase of the order lol.

I'm actually somehow happiest with the barrette of all the things! As much as I do like the boots and top, I know the simple barrette will definitely get the most use (in fact, I've already used it so many times even before this blog post was published). In any case, despite the boots making the shipping for this package a bit high, I am quite happy with everything.
